This modern 3-bedroom luxury villa incorporates the style of a traditional Sri Lankan house with vaulted ceilings and an indoor garden. The main living area is bright and airy with a traditional Sri Lankan interior garden. This is one of the few villas in Colombo with a private pool.
Inner Garden: The living room looks out onto the swimming pool, which is surrounded by tall tropical palms within a walled garden. The pool is great for a quick dip before breakfast and/or later when the day heats up. It provides complete privacy.
Outer Garden: The large outer garden has a variety of fruit trees such as Mango, Bellie, Lemon, Pomegranate and Guava, planted to encourage birdlife. It also contains indigenous wood trees like Kumbuk, Satinwood, Ebony and of course a few banana plants. You’re welcome to take any ripe fruits from the garden.
Water Supply: The house has both hot and cold water. It is provided by the house well, enclosed under the pool decking.
Cold water – This is automatically pumped to the roof water tank and gravity feeds the showers and taps.
Hot water – This is provided by a 150l solar heater on the roof. The temperature of the water depends on the amount of day’s sunlight. Normally, the temperature is extremely high (near boiling) but if there are a number of cloudy days, the temperature will be lower.
Wi-Fi: There is high speed internet available throughout the house.
CCTV: There are 6 CCTV cameras around the property grounds. Two cameras cover the drive and outer garden, Two cover the back of the house and Two cover the pool area. There are none covering the inside of the house. They are installed for security, especially when the property is unoccupied.
Pool area: The pool has both a ladder and steps. There is a large umbrella to cover the poolside table and chairs. The pool has a bench seat on the shaded side to enable guest to relax out of the sun. There is a fresh water shower next to the pump-house.

Kitchen: The kitchen is well equipped, with the necessary crockery, cutlery and pans. There is a 4 ring (cylinder gas) hob, electric toaster, kettle, oven and microwave, as well as good sized fridge/freezer.
Catering: An outside caterer can be arranged for special occasions – ask the local host, Jay.
Electricity: The supply is 220-240v and most outlets are multi socket (accept UK, EU and US plugs).
Garden produce: Guest are welcome to use any of the edible produce (e. g. banana, mango, curry leaves, pineapple, bellie, star fruit…) from the garden plants when they become available.
Consumables: A limited supply of the following items are provided; toilet rolls (1/en suite, 2/bathroom), washing powder, dishwasher liquid, surface cleaning materials.
Linen: Bed linen and towels are provided for each bedroom. There are a limited supply of swimming towels.
Mosquito nets: The 4-poster bed has a built in mosquito net and there are pop-up nets for the single beds. However, these are rarely (if ever) used.
Electric mosquito repellent devices are in all rooms and if you feel it is necessary, we recommend that you buy refills. All the local supermarkets sell them. We don’t recommend using mosquito coils in the house (OK by the pool) as they can cause breathing difficulties in closed places.
