Check in/out
- after 2.00pm/before 11.00 am
Bedrooms
- Unless you tell us otherwise, we’ll assume that 2 people are a couple and will be allocated 1 bedroom; so for example if your booking is for 3 people you will be allocated 2 bedrooms.
- Although you’ll have the whole house for yourselves, , un-allocatd bedrooms will not be available to use.
Pool
- DO – Take extra care with wet feet; the patio house floors will be VERY SLIPPERY.
- DO – use the PLASTIC beakers when drinking outside, around the pool.
- DO – take a shower before entering the pool. The outdoor shower is next to the pump house.
- DON’T – put objects in the water inlet/outlet vents. It is very dangerous if a child tries to insert something, as their hand can be sucked in. It will also destroy the water purifying system permanently (as happened in 2023).
- DON’T – carry bottles, cans or plates near or into the pool.
Kitchen
- Avoid leaving food items out on the work surface – it will attract ants, other insects and geckos.
Bedrooms
- Avoid leaving food in the room (even in packets) – it will attract ants, other insects, geckos and possibly small animals.
- To minimize your electricity costs, turn A/C and/or fans off when leaving a room. Remember – you pay for the electricity you use.
Front Door – VERY IMPORTANT
- The front door lock is electronic and you will be given an access code when you arrive. This code will enable you to unlock the door from the outside. The code is time limited to the end of your stay. To unlock the door from inside the property, simply use the mini card attached to the inside of the door.
Noise
- The property is fortunate in being secluded and we have lovely neighbours close-by, so we ask that you keep noise to a moderate level, particularly in the evenings.
Pets
- Pets are not permitted
Cleaning Charges – PLEASE NOTE
- There will be a cleaning charge of $40 per stay, payable at the end of your stay.
Elecricity
- We generate our own electricity from the solar panels on the roof and store it in a large battery which should normally provide enough to power the a/c units at night and other electrical items throughout. We charge 85 rupees/unit for electricity used (which works out at approx $2-4/day). This is less than the local electricity company charges. Please be reasonable in your use of the electricity (e.g. turn off a/c when vacating bedrooms) to avoid the battery running flat at night.
Water
- The water comes from our own well, which is pumped to the tank on the top of the house (you’ll hear the pump automatically when a fair amount of water has been used). WE drink this water, and have done so for over 10 years with no ill effects. However, if you have any concerns, please drink bottled water which is readily available.
